The Management Alumni Excellence (MAX) Award was established in 2000 and recognizes the outstanding success of Haskayne School of Business alumni. The award is intended to celebrate personal achievement and extraordinary service to the Business School and to the community. Of the Business School's nearly 20,000 alumni in 80 countries around the globe, 11 distinguished alumni have received the Management Alumni Excellence (MAX) Award.
The MAX Award Program received the Bronze 2004 Prix D'Excellence for Best Alumni Recognition from the Canadian Council on the Advancement of Education (CCAE).

Eva Friesen is the recipient of the Haskayne School of Business 2011 Management Alumni Excellence (MAX) award. The MAX award recognizes the outstanding success of Haskayne alumni, celebrating personal achievement and extraordinary service to both the school and the community.
Friesen has an extensive background of providing effective leadership in the not-for-profit sector. Since 2005, she has been the president and CEO of The Calgary Foundation, a community foundation established in 1955 to build an endowment for the long-term benefit of the Calgary community. It is one of the largest and fastest-growing community foundations in Canada, with assets of nearly $400 million, and it distributes more than $30 million annually.
The Management Alumni Excellence (MAX) Award recognizes individual excellence in the areas of school support, community involvement and business success.
In addition, the award winner embraces the Haskayne School of Business values: Leadership, commitment, excellence, integrity and dedication.
All Haskayne School of Business Alumni are eligible for the MAX Award, regardless of where they are living or which industry they are involved with.
