Jodi Scarlett ranks among Canada’s Top Female Entrepreneurs 3 years running

Jodi Scarlett, BComm’98, MBA’02, has made a name for herself as a leading female entrepreneur in Canada. After graduating in 2002, Scarlett founded ProStar Cleaning and Restoration Inc. She recently ranked in the 18th annual Profit/Chatelaine W100 of Canada's Top Female Entrepreneurs for the third consecutive year.

Alumna Breanne Everett receives prestigious Governor General Innovation Award

Dr. Breanne Everett, MD’09, MBA’13, cofounded Orpyx in 2010 while she was part way through her residency. The innovative device replaces lost feeling in the feet. Combining her medical background and industry knowledge has led Everett to achieve great successes in the world of business innovation and has culminated in receiving a Governor General Innovation Award. The inaugural award was presented to six Canadian entrepreneurs this week.

Hal Kvisle, MBA’82

As the current Chair of the Board of Directors for ARC Resources Ltd. and the former President and CEO at TransCanada Corporation and Talisman Energy Inc., Hal is known for his exceptional vision and commitment to the community. He boasts a career spanning 40 years in domestic and international oil and gas, building a reputation as a leader who has helped shape the future of the industry. He was recognized as Canada’s Outstanding CEO of the Year in 2008 and received the Distinguished Business Leader Award from the Haskayne School of Business and the Calgary Chamber in 2010. Hal has volunteered extensively with the Haskayne School of Business. In May 2016, the Hal Kvisle Leadership Adventure Education Fund was established for Haskayne students thanks to a $3 million gift from Hal and his family.
