In Class Speakers & Competition Judges

Your business experience as an alumni provides great insights for current students. Consider sharing your knowledge by speaking about your area of expertise or serving as a judge for a case competition or new venture pitch. Connect with Haskayne’s Community Based Learning Advisor to discuss your expertise and current opportunities to judge a competition or speak in class.

Become a Student Mentor

Based out of the Canadian Centre for Advanced Leadership in Business, the Haskayne Mentorship Program partners students with professionals who can offer advice and guidance to students preparing to transition from university to the business world. Mentors and mentees can apply online to join the Haskayne Mentorship Program.

Advise Student Entrepreneurs

Entrepreneurial thinking is a pillar in the Haskayne School of Business. Driven by the Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Team Hunter welcomes community entrepreneurs and industry experts as advisors, consultants and judges interested in supporting students in developing as entrepreneurial thinkers. Learn more about how you can get involved with Team Hunter.

Interesting in connecting with MBA student expertise? Consider working with our MBA capstone project as part of our Daytime / Evening MBA students. Multiple projects are needed each term. Please contact our Community Based Learning Advisor to discuss your project idea.

Co-operative Education Program

If your organization has a Co-op program, consider volunteering to supervise a student during their work term. Work terms are either 4-months or 8-months in length and begin in January, May and September.

Practice Interview Program

If you are a recruiter or hiring manager, this is an opportunity to help prepare students for job interviews by giving them on-the-spot and honest feedback. It's also a great opportunity for you to tap into future talent.

Informational Interviews

This is an opportunity for professionals to meet with Haskayne students for one-time informational interviews. This program helps students better understand the value of professional designations, explore career opportunities, plan their academic development/career path, and build their networks. Registration is ongoing.

Hire Haskayne Students

The Haskayne Career Centre helps employers connect with Haskayne students to hire for summer, part-time, full-time or co-operative education work terms. Explore how partnering with the Career Centre can help you establish your presence on campus and promote your brand through job postings, interviews on campus or career fairs.

UCalgary Volunteer Opportunities

Do you want to expand your volunteer time beyond Haskayne? There are many ways to engage, reconnect and give back to support your alma mater outside of the Haskayne School of Business. The new UCalgary Alumni Volunteer program is beginning to take shape and we are recruiting alumni volunteers with a little or a lot of time to spare!
