University of Calgary

Business & Community

As a business school in Canada's most enterprising city,  the Haskayne School of Business and its many graduates are central players in the success of Calgary, Alberta, and the nation. As a business school in one of Canada's most actively philanthropic cities, we also embrace the values of building a strong community infrastructure and giving back where we can.

Outreach activities

Haskayne faculty offer expertise in a broad spectrum of business and commerce-related topics. As faculty, they balance their obligations across teaching, research, and service activities. You'll see them making public presentations, facilitating workshops and seminars, hosting conferences, speaking with the media, tweeting their research findings, and coaching students.

Community partnerships

Graduates from the Haskayne School of Business go on to lead many of our community's organizations, in both the private and public sector. They build strong industries, arts associations, government agencies, community service groups, educational institutions, and philanthropic foundations. As part of this community fabric, the School has a role in supporting these organizations as well.

Giving to the Haskayne School of Business

The Haskayne School of Business relies on donations and investments from the private sector to to help us realize our vision of being a world leader in business education. Donations bridge the gap between tuition revenues and government funding. The impact is tangible, in the form of scholarships and bursaries, updated classrooms, new research and teaching positions and student programs that would not otherwise exist.

Support for charity

Even though, as a School, we must fundraise to cover our own operational requirements, we also support our broader community to the extent that we can.
