Bio

Diane Bischak applies simulation and other management science tools to improve the operational aspects of health services, working closely with physicians and other health care professionals to develop solutions that use limited health resources more effectively and efficiently.

Diane is a professor in the operations and supply chain management (OSCM) area. Diane has published articles in journals including Production and Operations Management, Management Science, IIE Transactions, Journal of Quality Technology and Health Care Management Science. She was chosen to receive the Dean's Teaching Award in 2002-2003 and 2012-2013.

Diane has been a Haskayne School of Business faculty member since 1999. Prior to joining, she held faculty positions with North Carolina State University, the University of Alaska Fairbanks and the University of Auckland, New Zealand. She holds a PhD in industrial and operations engineering from the University of Michigan.
