Research Interests


Kyoung Jin (KJ) Choi is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Haskayne School of Business, University of Calgary. He joined the faculty in July 2011. KJ holds a PhD in Economics from Washington University in St. Louis, a PhD in Mathematics from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), and a BS in Mathematics from Pohang University in Science and Technology (POSTECH). Previously he has held the position at the Korea Institute for Advanced Studies (KIAS).

KJ currently teaches FNCE 445 (Futures and Options)  at the undergraduate level and FNCE 799.07(Topics in Corporate Finance and Asset Pricing) at the graduate level. His areas of research interest are Finance and Macroeconomics theories including investment, real options, dynamic contracting, asset pricing, taxation, and financial crisis.
