PhD Program
We are committed to mentoring and nurturing our PhD students. Our diverse, yet close-knit group of students will challenge you and broaden your horizons. Enrolment is small – we admit eight to ten new students each year – so we can provide a learning atmosphere not available at other universities.
A program focused on students
The Haskayne PhD program design is flexible, innovative and student-oriented. Each has a supervisor from the first day onward. Students can work as graduate assistants and pursue their own research interests throughout the course of their studies. This approach enables students to develop a research program quickly and to work intimately with some of the best management scholars in the world.
Developing skills and experience
Our PhD students have opportunities to develop teaching skills and experience. As a result, Haskayne PhD grads are ready to assume positions at major universities in Canada, the United States, and other parts of the world. Graduates are also capable of assuming major research and administrative positions in government and industry.
Cross Disciplinary Programs
The business school supports the efforts of students wishing to combine a doctoral program in management with doctoral studies in another discipline. These joint programs are individually tailored to meet student interests and needs. Students in cross-disciplinary programs must be highly qualified because it is difficult to meet the standards of two specializations.
