Energy Management (ENMG)
The Energy Management quota concentration is one of the 18 concentrations that a student enrolled in the Haskayne School of Business Bachelor of Commerce (BCOMM) degree program can apply for. This concentration is designed to provide students with an understanding of basic concepts, principles, and information for managing energy operations.
The courses will provide a framework to explain energy management decisions in the context of the industry history, structure, basic technology, market forces and dynamics, political and environmental sensitivities, and the regulatory environment. This concentration will provide business graduates with a competitive edge for developing careers in the energy sector.
What can I do with an
Energy Management Concentration?
Students declaring an Energy Management (ENMG) Concentration must take a required six courses. Please refer to the University of Calgary Calendar for a description of these courses and their prerequisites.
Students who have applied for admission to the BComm degree with a concentration in ENMG must submit the following documents by the June 30th deadline, in order to be considered for approval into the concentration:
- letter of intent (no more than 2 pages)
- current resumé
