University of Calgary

Haskayne School of Business Management Advisory Council (MAC)

The Management Advisory Council (MAC) provides advice on strategic planning and building the school's reputation as a world-class business school. This advice helps the business school to proactively prepare students with the necessary skills to succeed in future business challenges. The true strength of our Council is attributed to the distinguished expertise of the individuals who share their business acumen.

2011/12 MAC Council Members

Management Advisory Council (MAC) members are senior business leaders who represent a diverse range of industries that have an economic and operational impact on the practice of business locally, regionally and internationally. Though several MAC members are from the Calgary business community, the membership extends beyond Calgary to include members working in other communities in Canada and the United States. There is also strong alumni participation on the Council.

David Byler leads MAC members in assisting the business school to become recognized as a Top-50 business school worldwide. He works closely with other members of the MAC Executive Committee in governing the work of the Council.

This important stakeholder group plays an active role in developing our programs. MAC members also assist with the professional development of our students through participation in the business school's MBA mentorship pogram.
