Justin Weinhardt is an assistant professor in the human resources and organizational dynamics area at the Haskayne School of Business. His research focuses on understanding how motivation and decision-making change over time using dynamic models with the goal of offering a simple, formal model of human behaviour applied to work. Justin’s other research interests include computational modeling, motivation, decision-making, entrepreneurship, overconfidence, ethical judgments, emotions, training and psychometrics.
Justin's research has been published in leading journals, including the Journal of Applied Psychology, Organizational Psychology Review and Organizational Research Methods. He has also presented his work at top academic conferences, including Academy of Management, Society for Judgment Decision Making and Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
Justin joined the Haskayne School of Business as an assistant professor in July 2013. He holds a PhD and MSc in industrial and organizational psychology from Ohio University as well as a BSc from Ohio State University. While completing his PhD, Justin was one of only five students at Ohio University who received a named fellowship. He was awarded the John Cady Graduate Fellowship for the research project Understanding Dynamic Multiple Goal Pursuit.
