The Emotionally Intelligent Leader

The Emotionally Intelligent Leader explores the dynamics and processes underpinning effective leadership, particularly the ability to identify, assess and manage the emotions of oneself, others and groups. Based on results of an emotional intelligence self-assessment conducted prior to class, you will explore the four fundamental components of emotional intelligence—self-awareness, self-management, social awareness and relationship management—as well as how these elements can each be managed effectively to maximize personal, interpersonal and group performance. To maximize the learning outcomes from the program, you will also work with faculty to draft an Emotionally Intelligent Leader Development Plan that will help guide your leadership actions and outlook back in the office.
