Admissions

Admission to the MSc program In order to apply to the program you must have the following
entrance requirements:

  • A four-year undergraduate degree from a recognized university.
  • A GPA of 3.0 (out of 4.0) based upon the last two years of full-time study. In exceptional circumstances, those with a GPA of 2.7 to 3.0 can apply after successfully completing up to six senior undergraduate courses with a GPA of 3.0 or better in each course. This is at the discretion of the program director.
  • Proficiency in English. Students whose primary language is not English will be required to fulfill the English language proficiency requirement with either TOEFL (80 internet or 550 written) or IELTS (7.0) certification where applicable.
  • Professional work experience of approximately three years (to be assessed by the program director).
  • A letter of intent outlining background, research interests, and goals for the program.
  • A curriculum vitae.
  • Two references, both preferably academic. (If you have not studied in the past five years, professional letters of reference will be accepted.)

Application deadlines

  • International applications: December 31
  • Canadian applications: March 31
  • The program commences May 1, annually

Applications will be accepted after July 1, 2012 for a May 2013 start date.
