The Westman Centre for Real Estate Studies is committed to building strong relationships between students, faculty and industry leaders. Each year, we host events and invite guests to panel discussions that engage all stakeholders in discussion about the future of real estate. Our students at the Haskayne School of Business are provided with opportunities to network with real estate professionals to better understand trends, issues and career paths.

  • "The Westman Centre’s housing affordability workshops were fantastic, and can only be improved by continuing this work and building on the excellent foundation that was achieved at the two day event. The workshops only served to emphasize that housing research in Canada is severely limited and there are huge opportunities to do a lot of work in understanding housing from a Canadian context. There is an amazing opportunity for Calgary to lead the country in doing this work."

  • "My observations of the Westman Centre’s housing affordability workshops were: excellent facilitation. No, make that brilliant. Well done to the team. Topics were well-chosen to unlock the housing dialogue. I see this as a starter that will develop into strategic themes/thrusts that will be dealt with in the more focused groups that are planned."
