About the HSBC Digital Workplace Innovation Case Competition

HSBC Bank Canada made a gift of $200,000 to the University of Calgary in 2020 to support student skill development and digital workplace innovation programs. With part of the funding, we were able to launch the HSBC Digital Workplace Innovation Case Competition. This year is the second time we are running this competition and it has been a successful initiative where we see students from multiple disciplines participating across Canada and internationally. Through this case competition, we have been able to tie together innovation, digital transformation, and social entrepreneurship to advance student learning; and at the time, deliver meaningful and practical solution to help businesses.

Across Canada we donate to programs that help build the skills people need to succeed in their career. Because we believe in the importance of helping people thrive right now and into the future.

Jim Saclamacis, HSBC

Vice President and Head of Branch Network for Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and the BC Interior.
