Exploring healthcare innovation through entrepreneurship

Join leading-edge Calgary medical entrepreneurs, Breanne Everett and Ken Moore, as they take you through their unique entrepreneurial journeys of pairing medical expertise with sharp business acumen.

At this upcoming Wayne Henuset Entrepreneurship Speaker Series, you will get a view of the entrepreneurial world through the lens of two passionate individuals who have dedicated their careers to creating innovative solutions to real-world problems faced by the medical field, to improve the lives of others.

About the speakers:

Breanne Everett, is the president and CEO of Orpyx Medical Technologies, as well as a Medical Doctor and resident in the department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Calgary. Seeing the burden that diabetic foot complications pose on both patients and the healthcare system, and with the goal of addressing these issues, Everett founded Orpyx.

Ken Moore, is the founder and president of TENET Medical Engineering. Originating from the University of Calgary, TENET grew to international success as a designer and manufacturer of medical devices for orthopedic surgery. Recently sold to Smith & Nephew, one of TENET’s primary goals was to contribute back to the University of Calgary; TENET has donated more than $2 million for scholarships, fellowships and a fund to help commercialize startup companies. Prior to TENET, Moore played 12 years in the Canadian Football League with the Calgary Stampeders and Saskatchewan Roughriders.
