Haskayne Thesis MBA

Admissions to this program are suspended as of September 1, 2021.

The Haskayne Thesis MBA is designed for those who possess an interest in pursuing an intensive, research-based program within the Haskayne School of Business. The MBA Thesis curriculum offers a challenge for those strongly interested and committed to research. Choosing a thesis-based graduate degree should not be considered a quick way to completing an MBA degree.

The MBA Thesis degree is offered to students who possess a Bachelor of Commerce degree or equivalent. In addition to a thesis meeting all Master’s thesis requirements of the Faculty of Graduate studies, the thesis option requires a minimum of eight half course equivalents selected by students in consultation with his or her supervisor.

Among these eight half courses, Research Methods (Management Studies 773 - Multivariate Analysis in Management), Business and Environment 777 and Strategy and Global Management 601 or 795 are required.

MBA Thesis students are also invited and encouraged to take one or more doctoral level courses as part of their programs. All thesis options programs must be approved by the Director MBA (Program).
