Soothsayr

Kendra (Soothsayr) loves community and that's what drives her interest in DJing. Growing up in the far north Calgary suburbs gave her an insight into the need for connection and collaboration in a sprawling city. Since joining CJSW's volunteer ranks in 2012, she has worked her way into a full-time staff position as the station's Community Development Coordinator. The most recent host of What Will The Neighbours Think on Friday nights, Kendra focuses on showcasing local talent by featuring guest DJ's/producers every week. Couple her day-job with her moonlight gigs and you'll see that most her hours involve reaching out to and engaging with local artists, business owners, and community members.

Myke Atkinson

As the host of “Big Friday,” CJSW 90.9 FM’s Friday morning-drive show, Myke lights up the radio with an arsenal of electronic tunes and scientific reckonings every week. He’s hosted various programs on the station for over 15 years and in 2017 was awarded “Community Radio Legend” status from the National Campus and Community Radio Association. In addition to his work in radio, Myke has played in a bunch of bands, released a bunch of records, and is currently raising a bunch of kids. He also graduated with a BComm in Entrepreneurship & Innovation from Haskayne in 2006.
