Mitacs Business Strategy Internship (MBSI) program

Overview

Haskayne School of Business has partnered with Mitacs to launch Mitacs Business Strategy Internship (MBSI) program. The program will award $10,000 of funding to each interested and eligible undergraduate and graduate student selected to undertake a four-month (450 to 480 hours) internship with a business, including for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. The Haskayne School of Business and the business will each contribute $2,500 (plus applicable taxes) and Mitacs will contribute the remaining $5,000.

Students will complete a strategic analysis of the business help them restore or modify their operations in a new business environment disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Throughout the program, Mitacs will provide optional online professional development opportunities to students.

Provide support to businesses who need additional assistance to adapt to the new economic reality.
