Lead every time you speak
Leadership and communication are intrinsically linked – every time a person speaks or writes, they have the opportunity to shape thinking and inspire action. The Humphrey Group, for 30 years has been Canada’s preeminent leadership communication firm, focuses on instilling communication skills exclusively through the lens of leadership and teaching leadership as it can be demonstrated through communication.
Haskayne School of Business Executive Education is partnering with The Humphrey Group to deliver three courses this fall and winter.
Founded in 1988, The Humphrey Group was established to help leaders prepare and deliver inspiring leadership talks. Since that time it has evolved to focus on leaders at all levels, enabling inspirational everyday communication. Under the direction of current President and CEO Bart Egnal, The Humphrey Group continues to expand its offerings while staying true to its mission of helping clients lead every time they communicate.
Tom McGovern, Senior Associate with the Humphrey Group noted that “The Humphrey Group is delighted to launch our partnership with the Haskayne School of Business to present our marquis leadership communication programs to the greater Calgary business community. Great leaders need to also be great communicators. Haskayne, whose Executive Education programs deliver an impactful learning experience built on combining real world knowledge, leading-edge research, and practical applications to empower leaders, is an important partner in our national executive education partnership strategy.”
‘Communication for the Senior Leader’®, running from October 22 – 23, explores the fundamentals of effective leadership at the most senior levels of organizations, enabling participants to manage their brand, navigate complex political environments, and build effective relationships.
For those looking to build and deliver presentations that will inspire an audience, ‘Presenting as a Leader’ TM, from 10 – 11 December 10 – 11, focuses on shifting from a linear, informational approach to an inspirational and engaging delivery.
On 14 January 14 ‘Storytelling for Leaders’ TM will focus on using storytelling as a leadership tool, enabling participants to build rapport and connections to authentically inspire and motivate audiences.
Through this partnership, program participants will learn from communication experts with experience in brand positioning, leadership presence, and public speaking in small classes that allow for active collaboration among peers and instructors in state of the art classrooms in Calgary’s downtown core. All programs focus on active participation with immediate feedback from instructors.
These programs may be eligible for grant funding that can cover up to 2/3 of the program costs. Contact execed@haskayne.ucalgary.ca to speak to a team member who can help you bundle courses to meet the minimum hours needed for eligibility.
