The Canadian Centre for Advanced Supply Chain Management and Logistics

There are few things within the world of business that are not dominated in some way by the need for reliable supply chain management and responsive logistics. And the world of business is continuing to change. With more intense competition, growing pressure from customers to improve quality and functionality of products, and constant quest for cost reduction, companies need to develop new sources of advantage. To do this, they have to work within the global market as opposed to the local market, requiring strategic insight and management on a larger scale.

The Canadian Centre for Advanced Supply Chain Management and Logistics recognizes the urgent need for training the next generation of supply chain leaders. It is addressing this need by providing post-secondary education programs in advanced supply chain management and logistics processes, and is leading the way in linking with the community to respond to the demand for management expertise and business leadership in this field. The mission of the Centre is to develop and disseminate world-class knowledge on supply chain strategies and practices through education, research and community engagement, with a focus on issues relevant to Alberta namely energy, logistics and sustainability.
