Research Programs

iRC Academic Members generate research streams with both empirical and analytical approaches that have lasting implications and provide important observations for organizations, policymakers, and furthering future research developments. As well they have expertise for advanced student learning in these areas. Research streams include:

  • Economic, organizational, and social implications of Information Systems (IS) 
  • Platforms and firm competition
  • Decision making and problem-solving in supply chain management 
  • Economic impacts of Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital goods and information technology (IT)
  • Environmental and public policy programs for technology conversion

  • Innovative pedagogical approaches and effective teaching strategies

Research Funding

iRC members have active research project grant funding from multiple sources including Tri-Council funding from Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) and Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), along with other research funding. These funding sources support the development of crticial and innovative research in business studies of Information Technology (IT) and Information Systems (IS).
