Imagery

Bold, connected and welcoming are key components of our brand imagery. Our imagery often features our students, alumni and our business community. For more details on imagery, refer to the UCalgary imagery guidelines found here.

Students

At Haskayne, our imagery is focused on our students and representing the diversity we see at our school. Student photography or stock imagery should reflect an aspirational view into the Haskayne experience.

Style:

  • show variety in scenarios from individual to group settings and diversity in age, ethnicity, gender and ability
  • clear, natural lighting that’s not over-saturated or flash-lit to ensure natural colours and warm tones
  • shoot lifestyle photography in a candid style, with natural light and genuine moments of engagement/collaboration

Business community

Follow the same style considerations when using imagery reflecting our business community, speakers, award recipients and corporate initiatives.

Style:

  • reduced colour palette: blacks, greys, gold
  • expressions are thoughtful and purposeful
  • wherever possible demonstrate advanced knowledge in a group/community setting
  • mix of gender, age, ethnicity and ability
