Next offering tentatively scheduled for Spring 2025
Social Enterprise in Practice is a for-credit course offered bi-annually as a group study program through UCalgary International. This class (ENTI 541) gives Haskayne students the opportunity to meet with entrepreneurs in impoverished circumstances who have received microfinance loans, with the intention of experiencing how businesses can work to alleviate poverty, the specific role of microfinance in providing a sustainable solution to poverty and researching the ways in which entrepreneurial thinking is alive and thriving throughout the world. In Spring 2020 and 2023, students travelled to the Dominican Republic.
