Haskayne Indigenous Pathway Program
Welcome to the University of Calgary
The University of Calgary, located in the heart of Southern Alberta, both acknowledges and pays tribute to the traditional territories of the peoples of Treaty 7, which include the Blackfoot Confederacy (comprised of the Siksika, the Piikani, and the Kainai First Nations), the Tsuut’ina First Nation, and the Stoney Nakoda (including Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Goodstoney First Nations). The City of Calgary is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta (Districts 5 and 6).
About the program
The Haskayne School of Business Indigenous Pathway Program provides an inclusive and supportive admissions route for Indigenous students seeking to pursue a Bachelor of Commerce degree. Open to both external applicants and current university students, the program offers a supplementary admissions review process designed to recognize diverse educational experiences and potential.
Through the Indigenous Pathway Program, students can strengthen their academic readiness by completing one or more foundational courses, while receiving individualized academic guidance and cultural support. Upon successful completion of the required foundation courses, students are guaranteed admission into the Bachelor of Commerce program.
The Pathway Program aligns with the University of Calgary's Indigenous Strategy, ii' taa'poh'to'p.

Internal Students
If you are a current University of Calgary student who is interested in transferring into the Bachelor of Commerce program through the Indigenous Pathways program, please contact the Indigenous Program Specialist for advising and to obtain the required forms.
