Program
The Haskayne Accelerated MBA is built specifically for graduates of a four-year undergraduate business program or Master of Management from a recognized Canadian or American post-secondary institution. The Accelerated MBA option saves participants nearly 40 per cent in tuition cost, as well as significantly reduces their program length. Students enrolled in the Accelerated MBA option take 10 courses, as opposed to 16 courses in the Full-time and Flexible MBA options.
The Haskayne Executive MBA is targeted to senior-level professionals who have already achieved significant success in their careers and typically manage a team, business unit or organization. The teaching style is designed to leverage the collective experience of the cohort. Further, additional support is provided to enable the students to be effective learners despite the fact that they have not been students for potentially many years.
The Haskayne MBA program has a strong reputation locally, nationally and internationally.
The Haskayne School of Business is an AACSB accredited business school, a recognition awarded to less than five per cent of business schools worldwide. In 2026, Haskayne was ranked as a Top 8 University in Canada by the QS World University Rankings.
With 85 per cent of our alumni remaining in Calgary and the surrounding area, we also have a very strong local reputation with employers.
Students in the Haskayne Accelerated MBA have the option to specialize in one of eight areas:

- Innovation, Strategy and Entrepreneurship
- Energy Management and Sustainability
- Project Management
- Finance

Students in the Haskayne Accelerated MBA typically spend 12 hours studying per course, this includes class time (more in block weeks).
The Haskayne Accelerated MBA is primarily classroom-based, with students attending in-person classes. Faculty may supplement classroom learning with online tutorials and course materials through the university's learning management system to support class preparation and review. In addition, students have the opportunity take some elective courses in a flexible online format.
The Haskayne Accelerated MBA can be completed in as little as 12 months.
Upon successful completion, students are awarded a Master of Business Administration. If an individual fulfills the relevant requirements, their specialization will also appear on their parchment and transcripts.
The Haskayne Accelerated MBA is designed for early- to mid-career professionals who already have at least two years of professional work experience. If you do not yet meet the admission requirements, you may consider completing graduate certificate courses, which can later be applied toward an MBA.
The Haskayne Accelerated MBA is flexible and can be completed by working professionals.
In the case of missing an individual class, students are expected to make arrangements with their faculty member and study team.
No. This Haskayne Accelerated MBA does not accept transfers.
There are two intakes of the Haskayne Accelerated MBA each year, commencing in Fall and Winter.
Student experience
You will be in the same class as your cohort for your core courses. However, for electives, you will have the opportunity to meet students from across many other MBA cohorts.
Integrated throughout are opportunities to network with your classmates, other MBA and EMBA students at Haskayne, MBA students from other universities, faculty, alumni and business leaders. These networking opportunities could take numerous forms, such as case competitions, guest speaker events or the Leadership Development Program.
Students typically study one block week class and two evening classes (Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday) during Fall and Winter semester and choose to study one or two evening classes during Spring and Summer.
Admissions
Yes. If you do not hold a four-year undergraduate degree from an accredited institution you may be eligible to apply for the Haskayne Executive MBA.
Yes. The Haskayne Accelerated MBA is built specifically for graduates of a four-year business program from a recognized Canadian or American post-secondary institution. If you are applying to the Accelerated MBA with a Master of Management exemption, you must hold a Master of Management degree.
No. The Haskayne Accelerated MBA is designed for early- to mid-career professionals who already have at least two years of professional work experience. If you do not yet meet the admission requirements, you may consider completing graduate certificate courses, which can later be applied toward an MBA.

We accept GMAT scores within five years of the test date.

Tuition and funding
Students should expect to spend approximately $150 to $200 per course on books, cases and supplies.

International applicants
International students are welcome to apply to the Haskayne Accelerated MBA, but must hold a business degree issued in the last 10 years from a Canadian or U.S. post-secondary institution with a GPA of 3.00/4.00. May only apply to Fall intake.
