The Haskayne Flexible MBA combines evening and block week classes to fit around your schedule, while providing a broad foundation in business and opportunities that tailor learnings to your interests and career goals. 

Beginning each fall, the 16-course program can typically be completed in 28 months, with the flexibility to accelerate or extend your studies as your career and personal commitments evolve. Through coursework, projects and other hands-on experiences, you'll tackle complex problems and develop an innovative approach to business. Direct connections with Calgary's business community will also bring current business challenges and industry expertise into the learning experience. 

And you'll do this alongside classmates from different industries, bringing a range of perspectives to the learning experience.

Sample schedule*

Starting in Fall 2027, our Flexible MBA will offer a more focused path to your goals. Earn your MBA in just 16 courses (three-unit equivalent), with the flexibility to set a pace that works for you.

The sample schedule below illustrates one possible three-year path through the program, combining required courses with electives that let you tailor your learning to your goals.

Your first year focuses on core business foundations, with an opportunity to take an elective or participate in the optional MBA Internship Program during the spring/summer. In your second year, you’ll continue building your business knowledge while choosing electives aligned with your interests. Your final year includes additional electives and the Strategic Consulting Project, with evening, weekend and asynchronous online options providing added flexibility.

You can adjust your course load along the way to accommodate changing work and personal commitments.

What is a typical schedule for a semester?

Students typically study one block week class and two evening classes (Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday) during Fall and Winter semesters, and choose to study one or two evening classes during Spring or Summer.

What is the mix of classroom and online learning?

The Haskayne Flexible MBA pathway provides the flexibility of a blended learning experience, combining classroom-based courses with select asynchronous online courses. Faculty may also provide supplemental online tutorials through the learning management system to support class preparation and review.
