Upon commencing studies, students will gain access to additional services offered by UCalgary's Career Services and their platform Career Link. Through this web enabled tool you can view and apply for job opportunities, schedule interviews, sign-up for events and career coaching appointments and access a range of career development resources.
SEDV Mentorship Program
The SEDV mentorship program provides students with the opportunity to learn from seasoned professionals through six one-on-one meetings between September and April. Students are provided with self-assessments and required orientation in advance of program launch so that they are prepared to think about their goals and come to meetings with their mentor well prepared. The program hosts events through the year offered jointly to mentors and mentees as well as events for only mentors or only mentees. A research project runs alongside the program, providing recommendations on best practices in many areas of the program.
Transformative Talent Internships
Faculty of Graduate Studies Transformative Talent Internships are designed to give graduate students exposure to meaningful career opportunities to help bridge the gap between academia and the workplace. Transformative Talent Internships are intended to demonstrate the value to of hiring individuals with advanced research and professional training.

Hunter Hub
The Hunter Hub is the University of Calgary’s new initiative to engage and immerse the campus community in a culture of entrepreneurial thinking, challenging them with a new and bold approach to teaching, learning, discovery and knowledge-sharing.
