Join us as we celebrate Bryan’s impact at the Inspiring Business Leader Award event on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at the Percheron Ballroom, BMO Centre at Stampede Park. It’s an evening to raise a glass, share stories, and honour a leader who has made a lasting difference in business and beyond.

Bryan de Lottinville
Founder & Executive Chairperson (he/him), Benevity
Bryan de Lottinville is a self-described "recovering lawyer", backed by two decades in executive operational roles in both the bricks and mortar and tech worlds. Following his time as a corporate finance partner at a major Toronto Law firm, Bryan held leadership roles in several early-stage growth companies that achieved international scale and success, including SMED International (sold to Haworth, Inc.) and iStockphoto (sold to Getty Images Inc.) prior to his founding Benevity in Calgary in 2008. Benevity’s SaaS offering is used by much of the Fortune 1000, and its global ‘Goodness’ (ie. Enterprise Impact) platform has generated and distributed $19 Billion and 100 million volunteering hours to just under 500,000 global non-profit organizations. In January, 2021 Benevity was sold to private equity for US$1.1 Billion.
An internationally recognized thought leader in the space, Bryan is a Top 100 Corporate Social Responsibility Influence Leader, Forbes Business Council contributor, Platform Calgary Advisory Council member and frequent speaker and blogger on corporate purpose. Bryan has been the appreciative recipient of a number of commercial and social impact awards for his entrepreneurial efforts with Benevity, including the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal and the Male Champion Award as part of the Influential Women in Business awards of 2024. After 12 years as CEO of Benevity, Bryan transitioned to the Executive Chairperson role in 2021, where he continues to assist with the vision of the company.
Bryan believes that the path to sustainable change is through grassroots engagement, cultural evolution and constructive disruption, both within companies and broader society. He has cultivated and nourished in Benevity a passionate culture and belief that providing people with more choice and opportunity to “do the right thing” will not only help people be their best selves, but also ignite an inherent desire within today’s socially conscious employees, customers and communities to become an extraordinary force for positive change in our world. We think he’s on to something there!
