CDL-Rockies
Experience learning beyond the classroom with Creative Destruction Lab-Rockies – a one-of-a-kind mentorship program bringing together 380+ start-ups, 100+ mentors and almost 300 MBA students since 2017.
Housed at the Haskayne School of Business, one of only 11 locations in the world, CDL-Rockies capitalizes on Alberta’s innovation ecosystem, University of Calgary experts and the larger CDL network to accelerate the commercialization of tech startups.
Propel Business Project
Experience learning beyond the classroom with the Propel Business Project (Propel) – which has provided Haskayne graduate students with over 230 real-world, work-integrated learning opportunities since 2021.
Propel gives graduate students the opportunity to participate in a paid externship (extracurricular, small-scale project) with non-profit and startup organizations — allowing students the chance to flex their skill set in new and unique ways and gain knowledge on new and emerging industries.
BMO Mentorship Program
Since 2002, the BMO Mentorship Program has connected over 800 Haskayne MBA students with exceptional business leaders and mentors. These connections help to bridge the gap between what students learn in the classroom and what is happening in the real world - and builds lifelong connections.
This program is supported through a generous gift of $1.25 million from the BMO Financial Group. The program hosts events throughout the year offered jointly to mentors and mentees, as well as events that include the greater community.
Jarislowski Fellowship in Business Management
Since 2015, the Jarislowsky Fellowship in Business Management has engaged over 1,000 Haskayne MBA students, providing them access to the wisdom of 10 distinguished Co-Fellows—leaders from business, social and public sectors—who share the pivotal experiences and lessons from their life journeys.
Founded by philanthropist Stephen Jarislowsky, this fellowship emphasizes learning beyond textbooks.
