TEC Venture Prize (April 2017)

This comprehensive competition covers 4 different streams and provides a list of benefits to participants that includes business training, mentorship, and the opportunity to win cash and in-kind services to take their companies to the next level.

Hong Kong - Canada National Investment Pitch Competition (June 2, 2017)

If you have been working on a business idea that connects Canada to Hong Kong or leverages the "Canada - Hong Kong" advantage to conduct business between Canada and other parts of Asia, this is your chance to get in the running for prizes valued at $50,000 including:

  • Cash prizes and seed money to put towards your business idea
  • Consulting services to help get your business from concept to market
  • Trip for two to Hong Kong to attend the 2017 Hong Kong Forum

Qualifying teams will win flights, accommodation and registration for two to attend the 2017 HKCBA National Conference in Vancouver (June 1-3, 2017) and pitch your business idea at the Conference on June 2, 2017 in front of a panel of seasoned judges and live audience.


AccelerateAB (April 19, 2017)

AccelerateAB is the province’s annual flagship event. Produced by The A100 and local community partners, this event brings together the most innovative entrepreneurs, investors, key leaders, and supporters from across the province. AccelerateAB is an opportunity to dramatically increase the success of Alberta’s entrepreneurs, drawing international attention to what’s percolating here in the province.

RBC Social Enterprise Accelerator

SEA is a six-month program commencing January 2017 that will showcase and grow Calgary-based startups for whom social impact is core to their mission and profitability is core to their business model.

SEA’s goal is to accelerate impact, profitability and technology for selected startups. It is a competitive program open to Calgary’s best social enterprises. Those startups focused on inclusive finance, poverty alleviation, affordable housing and integrating new immigrants are especially encouraged to apply. 


Ready to take your early-stage business to the next level?

This intensive 12-week business accelerator program connects Albertan entrepreneurs from diverse industries to powerful learning opportunities, experts and mentorship. ATB X supports select entrepreneurs by providing a program that includes space, mentorship, and a network catered to driving local entrepreneurship and innovation to new heights.

The program is open to entrepreneurs from any industry that choose ATB as a trusted partner along their business journey. 

Telus Technology Accelerator

Innovate Calgary is pleased to announce the launch of the TELUS Technology Accelerator (TTA), a six-month program that will showcase and grow Canadian technology startups primarily in four areas: seamless experience, data analytics, health and wellness, and “last 100 metres” technologies. This program aims to rapidly accelerate a startup’s technology, business model and investability. During the accelerator, participants will advance their business model and technology to attain new or grow existing revenue. Startups will receive a combination of enterprise development support and one-on-one mentoring from Innovate Calgary, technology mentoring from TELUS, as well as pitch coaching and advice on non-technical aspects of their business from Innovate Calgary’s partners. 

District Ventures

District Ventures — a non-profit accelerator — offers a community for Canadian entrepreneurs. They connect innovative growth-stage companies in the food and beverage and health and wellness sectors with strategic investors, sponsors and commercialization support.
