Faculty Resources and Opportunities

Research in entrepreneurship and innovative fields is crucial for entrepreneurial thinking. The Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation is proud to support University of Calgary faculty in these areas through a variety of programs and initiatives.

The Faculty Advancement Fund has been developed to support faculty at the Haskayne School of Business in professional or academic development or to enhance the student experience through faculty engagement in activities relating to entrepreneurship and innovation.

Eligible activities may include, but are not limited to: support for academic or professional conferences, professional training courses, memberships in professional associations, travel support for faculty attendance at student competitions or related activities, or activities/programs/software that enhance the student experience in the classroom.

Please note, the Hunter Centre Faculty Advancement Fund is currently on hold. Please email hunter.centre@haskayne.ucalgary.ca to inquire about faculty support.

The Hunter Centre Strategic Research Grant is for full-time faculty and instructors on continuing appointments in the Haskayne School of Business who are engaged in research related to entrepreneurship and innovation.

Peak Scholars are celebrated at the annual Peak Scholars Celebration event in November.

Learn about Entrepreneurial Thinking

The Haskayne School of Business and the Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation support academic entrepreneurship programs for faculty across campus. In addition to entrepreneurship focused programs and courses, the Hunter Centre supports a number of co-curricular seminars and workshops to inspire faculty in various aspects of entrepreneurship and innovation.
