RECA Pre-licensing Courses | Real Estate
Pass your real estate licensing exam with ease
To become a licensed real estate agent with the Real Estate Council of Alberta (RECA), you must complete at least two pre-licensing courses. Start with the mandatory course, Fundamentals of Real Estate, before choosing from one of the three different areas of practice. It's important to complete these courses to be eligible to take the licensing exam.
Fundamentals of Real Estate
This introductory course is mandatory for anyone seeking a real estate license.
Build a strong foundation of knowledge about the real estate industry in Alberta. This is the first step to becoming a Real Estate Associate in property management or commercial, residential or rural real estate.
Areas of practice
Once you’ve completed your fundamentals course, select one of three practice areas.
Practice of Residential Real Estate
This course is required for your Residential Real Estate Associate License. As you prepare for your exam, gain an advanced understanding of the residential real estate industry.
Practice of Property Management
This course is required for your Property Manager License. As you prepare for your exam, gain an advanced understanding of the property management industry.
Practice of Commercial Real Estate
This course is required for your Commercial Real Estate Associate License. As you prepare for your exam, gain an advanced understanding of the commercial real estate industry.
