Course description

This course will solidify your understanding of the competencies and skills required of commercial real estate associates by the Real Estate Council of Alberta (RECA).

The Practice of Commercial Real Estate course builds upon the learnings from the Fundamentals of Real Estate course. These two courses meet the pre-licensing education requirements to be licensed as a Commercial Real Estate Associate in Alberta.

The commercial real estate industry is regulated and licensed in Alberta by the Real Estate Council of Alberta (RECA). Individuals seeking to enter the industry must start by reviewing RECA’s licensing process and application requirements.

After completing the Fundamentals of Real Estate (FRE) course and its corresponding RECA exam, you can proceed to the Practice of Commercial Real Estate course. Practice of Commercial Real Estate and its corresponding RECA exam is the last pre-licensing education requirement to become a Commercial Real Estate Associate.

Additionally, learners seeking to achieve the educational requirements for a broker or associate broker level, are required to complete this course, three other practice-level courses and a broker-level course.
